Background and Aims: In recent years, the use of motor learning training methods to reduce ACL injury has been considered by researchers, and finding the best training method in this field has become very important and necessary. In this study, the effect of linear and non-linear training methods on kinematic variables in basketball landing was investigated and changes in joint angles from pre-test to post-test were evaluated.
Materials and Methods: in this study 24 students novice in basketball who were selected from Kharazmi University by available methods and practiced basketball skills in two groups of linear and non-linear for two month weeks, two sessions per week (115-90 minutes per session). In the linear method, the presentation of patterns and feedback was used for training, and in the non-linear method, the manipulation of constraints was used. In this way, environmental factors and tasks were manipulated so that the individual could discover his own unique function.The variables measured included trunk flexion angle, hip flexion angle, knee flexion angle, knee valgus angle, dorsiflexion angle of the ankle, hip range of motion, knee range of motion, ankle range of motion, hip flexion range, and knee flexion range.
